Two Baton Rouge high schools land in top 10 of Louisiana’s 2018 rankings

Two Baton Rouge schools landed in the top 10 of a ranking of the state’s top high schools from U.S. News and World Report.

Baton Rouge Magnet School was the highest ranked school from the area, coming at No. 5 overall statewide and No. 848 nationally. The school has a graduation rate of more than 95 percent and boasts a college readiness score of 48.7.

LSU Laboratory School was the other representative from the Baton Rouge area, ranking at No. 7 in Louisiana and No. 1,716 in the nation. The school features a graduation rate of over 95 percent and college readiness score of 33.8.

Benjamin Franklin High School, one of the five New Orleans area representatives in the state’s top 10, came in as the top-ranked school in the state.
